In class we discussed if OLR (Online relations ships) as important as RLR (Real life relationships).
OLR can be as important as RLR because a friend is a friend right? You best friend could even be an online friend. With an online friend you could play video games and not worry about what happened in real life, like an escape from reality.
On the other hand the person you are talking to might pretend to be someone there not and put you in danger.
Another point of view is that RLR are more important than OLR. In a real life relation ship you can share more experiences with your friend as your right there in the moment enjoying life. Its also easier to trust your real life friend because there isn't any barrier between you and the person your talking too. You can also spend more time with them as you are not able to stay on your computer all day talking to your OLR.
In conclusion I think that real life relationships are more important that online relationships but I do think that a online relationship can be almost as important.
