Group Discovery Task: Don't do Steroids

In health we were set a task that required us to make a project on a subject in health.

The topic we chose was steroids.

Firstly we had to choose our big 5 questions.

Once we had our big 5 questions we all searched for the answers.

From there we chose to create a song that is made to spread awareness about the cons of steroid use.

We chose to do this because it seemed like it would be fun to make and we could do a good job at it.

We have learned that these strategies are good to use if you or a friend is struggling with steroids.

It was challenging when we had to compromise as what we were going to make would take a lot more time then we had.

I coped with this challenge by improvising and changing up what we were going to make.

I worked well with others as we all wanted to get this done and see the end product.

Next time I will waste less time and get straight to work.

I am really proud of how it came out and how much effort everyone put into it.

Curiosity Quest How to Air Dribble in Rocket League

Hello, today in Wananga we were tasked to do a curiosity quest on anything we were interested in.

So today I will be learning and showing you how to air dribble in Rocket League.

(Example of how to air dribble)

Steps

1. First of all you want to make sure you have enough boost so you can maintain flight while in the air.

2. Secondly delicately hit the ball so it goes up or bounces off of the wall.

3. Now you want to leave ball cam and jump backwards while boosting but you need to remember not to waste or use too much of your boost.

4. Start to lightly tap the ball into the goal but if you miss then try to hit the rebound in.

Tip: If you are playing in doubles or threes and you miss then always let your partner know that the ball is open for them.

Health Discovery Tasks: Don't do Cannabis

Hello, for the last few weeks in health we have been tasked to design something on a topic that we choose. My friend Hassan and I chose to make a song titled "don't do cannabis"

Firstly we talked about what we wanted to do and the topic we chose was cannabis.

Once we had our big 5 questions we started researching the answers to those questions.

From there we decided to make a song and a music video. We did this because it was something that seemed fun and unique to create.

We learnt that these strategies are helpful if you are struggling with cannabis or if someone you know is.

It was challenging when editing the music and the video as I wasn't that skilled in music.

I coped with this by learning how to edit and taking what I already knew and putting that into the editing.

I worked well with Hassan because we both wanted to try our best and make something that had alot of effort put into it.

Next time I will try to spend more time making the project may that be in my own time or at school.

I am really proud on how the video turned out and how the whole project turned out in general.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics: Parallel Bars

Recently in PE we have been doing gymnastics, we got to chose one out of many activities to focus on.

The main activity I focused on was the parallel bars.

The goal was to lift yourself up and put your legs straight up.

I managed to do it for about 2 seconds but that was about the max.

I could do it without my legs straight for about 5 seconds.

My goal was to stay up for at least 5 seconds straight but that means I can keep progressing.

My favorite part of this was that you could focus on what you wanted and didn't have to perform in front of the class.
