Health Assesment
Emotional wellbeing / Taha Hinengaro
Emotional wellbeing is being able to understand and manage our feelings and emotions.
Social wellbeing / Taha Whanau
Social wellbeing is having healthy relationships, having a feeling of belonging and caring for others.
Spiritual wellbeing / Taha Wairua
Spiritual wellbeing is having values and beliefs. Its also having a personal identity .
Physical wellbeing / Taha Tinana
Physical wellbeing is staying healthy and fit. Its also about having good hygiene.
Scenario 2 - Louise and Josh have been best friends for the last 9 years. They both started at Hornby High School at the same time and were even in the same class. At the end of term 1, Josh started going out with Frances. Louise has felt really left out and frustrated with Josh since he started seeing Frances. Josh hardly spends any time with Louise anymore.
This would effect Louise's emotional wellbeing because he would feel betrayed and forgotten. This would also effect his social wellbeing as it might be hard for him to find new friends. It may also effect his spiritual wellbeing because you may treat others the way you are being treated and that could break your values and identity.
In order to support their wellbeing Louise could try to talk to Josh and tell him how he feels, he could try to find some new friends, he could talk to his family about how he feels and get some support from them.
Thank you for reading!
